This project will extend Peigan Trail S.E. for two lanes from 52 Street S.E. to Stoney Trail S.E. (which doesn’t exist now) and widen the existing road, through the 52 Street S.E. intersection, to four lanes. The S.E. section of the Ring Road (Stoney Trail) is expected to open in 2013.
Peigan Trail is a key industrial expressway in our City’s S.E. Peigan Trail provides a continuous corridor through our City’s southeast industrial area from Deerfoot Trail to Stoney Trail and then east to Rocky View County. Ultimately, it is expected that the corridor will continue east to Chestermere.
The Peigan Trail connection to the Ring Road will be done for the Ring Road opening in fall of 2013.

Traffic will be affected periodically on 52nd Street and Peigan Trail during construction.
